A CHS Art trip to Liverpool resulted in two of our Year 10 students taking part in the Congleton Rotary Young Photographer competition.
The 'Beauty of Architecture' theme was ideal for the students' city shots, which achieved Allyssa W one of the two Highly Commended prizes awarded (there was no overall winner in the 14-17 y/o category). Allyssa received a certificate and a £15 voucher and Maddison H received a certificate. The certificates were presented to Allyssa and Maddison in school by Congleton Rotary's Youth Events Leader, Eric Westwood.
The competition was judged by local photographer, Chris Hunt, and Jo from the Rotary and they commented that 'The technical ability and 'eye' of young people in creating well-composed photographs is nothing short of amazing." All the photographs from the competition were on display in the Congleton Library over Christmas.
Well done to Allyssa and Maddison and to all the young people who took part.
