We look forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to CHS on Wednesday 3rd September 2025. This page and the short film above will give you more information about what will happen between now and when you join our school community in September.

Throughout the summer term, our Transition Team, including our Head of Year 7 and senior members of staff, will visit all our new starters in their primary schools. They'll talk with you in groups and individually to answer any questions you have and, very importantly, find out more about you, your likes and dislikes and your friendship groups. They'll then use this information to help put you all in to Year 7 tutor groups, containing some of your primary school classmates, when you start in September.

We will hold our 2025 New Intake Days on Thursday 26th June and Friday 27th June, when all the Year 6 pupils who have accepted a place at our school will be invited to spend two days with us here, meet their Form Tutors and take part in a variety of lessons and activities. We will also hold a New Intake Information Evening for Parents and Carers from 6:00pm on Thursday 26th June, which will include a short presentation and an introduction to form tutors.

For more information on the New Intake Days and our Parents/Carers Information Evening, please refer to the New Intake Days letter, which will be in the downloads below once it is sent, or email: admissions@congletonhigh.com if you have any questions.
