We held our first ever Scholars' Awards Evening in July to recognise the students and staff who perfectly represent our school community and school values. It was wonderful to gather in the Town Hall with students, families, staff and special guests to see students and staff recognised for their excellence across all areas of school life.

Following a welcome from our Chair of Governors, Mr Benson, guests were treated to musical performances from two of our Year 7 students, Elijah M and Victoria Biddulph. Headteacher, Ms Thurland, then gave an introduction to the evening's proceedings and introduced special guest speaker and former CHS student, Mr Adrian Young, who attended CHS from 2000 to 2007. He spoke of his time at CHS, his journey since leaving and what his career in the RAF has taught him.

With Mr Young's inspirational words still fresh in their ears, guests were then able to learn who had won the evening's 47 awards:

We would like to congratulate all the very worthy winners of the awards. It was a wonderful evening, the first of what we hope will now become a new tradition for Congleton High School.
