As part of their study of the ventilation system in mammals, our Year 12 Biologists dissected lungs in one of their lessons in March.
After the dissection, and investigating each component, Ben and Izsak 'reconstructed' the system, linking the trachea, bronchi and bronchiole as well as the different tissues they found (lung, liver and diaphragm).
This sort of practical work is really beneficial for students and helps to give them a far better understanding of the theory and helps with recall of information in exams.
