Thank you to everyone who joined us for our fabulous Christmas Showcase on December 13th, what fantastic talent we have at CHS!
During the evening, over 100 students, across all year groups, took part and it was so thrilling to experience the vibrant atmosphere both back stage and front of house. Behind the scenes, it was electric with students so pleased to be able to finally showcase all their hard work.
Around 200 guests enjoyed performances from the Drama Club performing 'Grinch'; our Dance Troupe, 7HMA and 7MWA performing Wind In the Willows from their dance classes; upper and lower school vocals; Drum and Guitar Ensemble clubs; school band; and various solo musicians including Year 7 Alfie S on guitar, Year 10 Barney M on piano, Year 11 Tommy N on drums and Year 12 Orla H, Year 13 Grace K and Year 12 Scarlett S singing.
We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did! Thank you to everyone involved, from the Performing Arts staff and student helpers for all their hard work practicing, the Site Maintenance team, Mrs Eckersley and PiP for refreshments and, of course the cast of students for their talent and commitment.
In addition to a festival of fantastic singing, dancing and drama, the show also raised £1,400 from ticket sales for Performing Arts equipment, £75 from the raffle for The Georgia Leigh Ogden Foundation and another £230 for PiP funds from the sale of refreshments.
