We are really looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to Congleton High School in September 2022 and delighted to be able to offer them a three-day Summer School opportunity from Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th August. Sessions will run from 9.30am – 2.30pm each day.

This will be a fantastic opportunity for our new intake to participate in many activities that help them form positive relationships.  They will also develop self-esteem, confidence, communication and social skills. The activities will include various enrichment and curriculum workshops such as:

  • Designing and making fun wooden ‘block heads’
  • Making healthy breakfasts
  • Assault courses/team building
  • Building medieval catapults
  • Fun Maths problem solving/puzzles
  • Art and Design activities

The Summer School will give our new students the opportunity to work alongside the rest of their new year group and meet some of the staff here too, ahead of starting school in September.

The programme is free of charge and lunch will be provided for all children. Alternatively, children can of course bring their own packed lunch if preferred.

If you would like your child to attend the programme, please complete the Microsoft Form below  by Friday 10th June. Due to the expected popularity of this event, please only sign-up if your child will be able to attend for the full 3-days.

If we receive any late requests for places, we will add these children to a waiting list. Therefore, once you have booked a place, should your child become unable to attend for any reason, please let the school know as soon as possible so that we can back-fill any available places.

The Summer School was incredibly successful last year and we do hope that your child will be able to join us this August. Final details will be sent nearer the time to parents who have registered for a place.
