We have been working with Congleton Town Council’s White Ribbon Group to challenge misogyny and behaviours that can lead to gender-based violence. On average, there is an incident of sexual harassment or domestic violence reported to the police every day in Congleton.
The school leadership has asked the White Ribbon Ambassadors to run workshops with every year group in the school this term, building on previous work with the senior students.
Following these, most of the young people and all the staff present came forward to make their White Ribbon promise never to commit, excuse or ignore men’s violence against women or any gender-based violence.
